Senior Manager/Supervisor

PayJunction is seeking a Director of Sales with a deep understanding of the payment processing industry.  This role reports to the President and is responsible for driving merchant and ISV relationships, scaling programs, mentoring sales staff and growing revenue in an ethical way.  Qualified candidates will have proven, full stack, Salesforce and marketing automation skills, and broad experience working closely with cross-functional team including Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance and Operations.  A proven track record of hitting and exceeding quota, and the ability to train and guide a team to hit its goals is a must have.

Our ideal candidate is someone with an extremely high level of integrity, call center experience, outside sales experience, AE / SDR sales team structure and the ability to own the sales process from prospecting to close.  Other traits we seek are creativity, enthusiasm, a never-say-no attitude to sales and someone who generates daily momentum and excitement with their team. We are building our team and charting our course and looking for someone who has experience leading the adventure. 

This job is located on site in our Santa Barbara office.

Responsibilities

  • Drive ISV partnership strategy.

  • Lead and coach our team to successfully achieve target market penetration and revenue goals.

  • Leverage data, analytics and industry knowledge to effectively prepare sales forecasts and performance goals.

  • Implement and sustain best practice use of our full stack of tools to empower team to successfully hit revenue goals.

  • Manage staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop sales team talent.

  • Partner with Marketing and Product to identify new opportunities, deepen existing relationships and enhance product features.

  • Strong understanding of contractual relationships and the ability to enforce obligations.

  • Design and manage account segmentation.

  • Analyze sales statistics to formulate policies.

  • Represent company, as needed, to grow and maintain relationships.

  • Prepare management reports and present to the executive team.

  • Monitor and evaluate competitor products and activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Marketing, Business, Computer Science/Engineering or similar: MBA highly desirable.

  • Prior work experience in the Fintech and payments space.

  • Previous sales leadership experience.

  • The ability to teach and coach junior and senior members of our team in all aspects of sales, including cold calls, demos, and time management.

  • The ability to cultivate relationships and build culture.

  • Knowledge of the market and the ability to pivot when it changes.

  • The ability to build and maintain morale and remain highly effective at achieving revenue goals.

  • Salesforce expert; HubSpot and Outreach a plus.

  • SaaS and API experience.
